// MODULE 03 — WATCHTOWER
In pilot

Compliance and inventory, watched without you watching.

Best-before-date alerts, supplier doc tracking, purchase-order reconciliation, and idle-stock watchlists. Built for regulated retail in the EU — where missing a date is the kind of error that costs more than a margin point.

Cadence: Daily, 06:00 Surface: Slack + email digest Sectors: Regulated retail, EU Coverage: BBD · PO · Idle stock
001 — How it works

Three steps. No glue code on your side.

Every module is a fixed shape. We deploy it into your cloud, hand over the keys, and step out of the room.

// 01
STEP 01 — INGEST

Read from your stock and PO systems

Connects to BoostmyShop, your ERP, or your custom stock view. PO data, supplier documents, BBD per-lot, and current stock — pulled into a unified view that lives in your cloud, not ours.

// 02
STEP 02 — WATCH

Three watchers, one digest

BBD watcher flags lots within configurable thresholds (90/60/30 days). PO watcher checks supplier docs and reconciles received vs. ordered. Idle-stock watcher surfaces SKUs with high stock and zero recent movement.

// 03
STEP 03 — ALERT

Where the responsible person already works

A daily digest to the compliance channel — quiet when nothing is wrong, specific and actionable when something is. Critical thresholds also trigger a direct email to the responsible officer.

002 — Inside the module

What's actually in Watchtower.

The capabilities that make this module the right shape, not just the right name.

// 01

BBD-per-lot tracking

Stock isn't a single number — it's lots, each with their own expiry. Watchtower thinks per-lot.

// 02

Configurable thresholds

90/60/30-day alerts by default; tighter or looser per category, per warehouse.

// 03

PO reconciliation

Received-vs-ordered deltas, supplier-doc completeness, missing CoAs flagged.

// 04

Idle-stock watchlist

SKUs sitting on shelves with zero recent movement — capital tied up where it shouldn't be.

// 05

Quiet by default

If nothing is wrong, the digest is one line. Watchtower only raises its voice when warranted.

// 06

Officer-level email escalation

Critical thresholds also trigger a direct email to the named compliance officer.

003 — Built for

The operators we built this with, not just for.

A module joins the catalog only after the same shape has been built three times for three different operators. Here's who those were.

Food supplements

BBD-sensitive ecom where a missed lot is a recall. The first sector we built this for.

Cosmetics and personal care

PAO and BBD per-lot, supplier doc tracking for EU cosmetics regulation.

Multi-warehouse retail

Stock across 2+ locations with different velocity, different BBD pressure.

004 — Operating notes

The honest answers we get asked first.

If you have a question that isn't here, that's also fine — bring it to the call.

What's the BBD threshold default?

90/60/30 days, but configurable per category. Supplements often want 180/90/60. Cosmetics often want 365/180/90 due to PAO.

How does this differ from a normal stock report?

Stock reports tell you what you have. Watchtower tells you what's about to be a problem — and only if something actually is.

What if our ERP is custom?

If you can SQL it or REST it, Watchtower can read it. We build the connector during the engagement.

Does this replace a compliance officer?

No. It surfaces what they should look at first. The officer still owns the call.

Tell us what you're maintaining at 11pm. We'll tell you which module fits.

A 30-minute call. No deck, no demo — just the work. If Watchtower is the right shape, we'll say so. If not, we'll point at one that is.
